Wine To Water organisation is a concept Doc Hendley came up with during his period of bartending and performing at nightclubs in Raleigh, NC. Within a year of the organisation’s conception, Doc Hendley was installing water systems in Darfur, Sudan, for people who were the subjects of government assisted genocide. This courage in the face of mortal danger, mortal danger which eventually took the life of two members of his team, and the drive to provide clean water to devastated places in the world, led to him being dubbed the “CNN Hero”.
