Sue palka biography

Mrs. Palka earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and her Master in Educational Leadership from Concordia University - Seward NE. As the principal of our school, she enjoys reading, coaching our youngest DI team (the Rising Stars), and spending time with her family. Mrs. Palka also teaches eighth grade religion in conjunction with Mr. Topel.

    Sue Palka is an American Emmy Award-winning on-air contributor and former meteorologist who worked at FOX 5. She has been working for the station since 1985 and retired as a forecaster on March 23, 2022.

    Palka serves as an on-air contributor at FOX5. She retired from forecasting on March 23, 2022, where she served as a 5, 6, 9, 10 & 11 pm weather forecaster at FOX 5. She started her journalism career at WTVR in Richmond where she served as a weather forecaster. Palka, later on, joined FOX 5 in 1985 and since then, has enclosed several extreme weather events.

    Some of the weather events she has managed to enclose include hurricanes, chasing tornadoes, earthquakes, Derechos, and the polar vortex.
