Sean John Combs (born November 4, 1969), better known by his stage nameDiddy, and formerly Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, is an American rapper, record producer, and record executive. He is the recipient of various accolades, including three Grammy Awards. He is credited with the discovery and development of musical artists including the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher.

Born in Harlem and raised in Mount Vernon, Combs worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records in 1993. He embarked on his recording career following the success of his first signee, the Notorious B.I.G., for whom he served as manager and hype man. Diddy News: Sean Combs Sues NBC Over Documentary

Sean “Diddy” Combs is suing NBCUniversal and its streaming service Peacock for defamation over a documentary that details his history of rape and sexual assault allegations. Filed in New York state court on February 12, the $100 million lawsuit alleges that Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy “shamelessly advances conspiracy theories” about the disgraced music mogul.

The 90-minute documentary, which came out in January, includes interviews with Combs’ former friends, employees, and associates about his childhood, career, and the mounting accusations and legal troubles he faces. The network has yet to respond.

Combs is currently jailed in New York City as he awaits trial on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He was arrested in September 2024 and pleaded not guilty. Since then, the 55-year-old has been hit with a series of additional lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and trafficking.
